The International Military Sports Council (CISM), founded on February 18, 1948 in Nice, France, is one of the largest multidisciplinary organizations in the world. CISM organizes a variety of sporting events for the armed forces of its 142 member countries and is among the international sports bodies that represent the greatest number of sports disciplines.

CISM’s mission: “By fostering friendship through sport, CISM is a worldwide military sports organization that brings together the personnel of armed forces from all nations through sporting events, thereby contributing to their physical training, combat readiness, and education.”

On August 19–20, a CISM triathlon race will take place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Athletes will compete in both individual and team events at the SPRINT distance.

In the individual race, competitors in the Elite and Senior categories will complete 750 m of swimming, 19 km of cycling, and 5 km of running.

In the team relay, four team members will cover 300 m of swimming, 6 km of cycling, and 1,620 m of running each. The winner will be determined by the team’s total time.
