On May 24-25, 2025, the ancient city of Samarkand will host the World Triathlon and Paratriathlon Cup, featuring top Elite athletes from around the world!
Samarkand will welcome participants from over XX countries as they compete for podium positions. Race winners will gain a significant advantage in earning ranking points for Olympic qualification.
In 2024, Samarkand hosted the World Triathlon Cup for the first time, earning top marks from the World Triathlon Federation and receiving enthusiastic feedback from both participants and spectators.
Distances and Categories
Athletes in the World Triathlon Cup will compete in the Standard distance:
Swimming – 1.5 km , cycling – 40 km and running – 10 km
The World Triathlon Para Cup will feature para-athletes competing in various categories:
PTS2-3-4-5 – athletes with physical impairments, PTWC – wheelchair athletes and PTVI – visually impaired athletes with their guides
They will race on the Super Sprint distance: Swimming – 750 m, cycling – 19 km and running – 5 km
The event will also host the Uzbekistan Triathlon Open Championship, welcoming both professional athletes and amateurs.
Age Group athletes will also compete in the Standard distance.
Location
The competition will take place at the modern Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex, the largest leisure center in the region. The complex features eight contemporary hotels and offers exclusive conditions for race participants, including special accommodation discounts.
